4 Tips For Immediately Getting Leads from Google

Are you a business owner who’s struggling to grow your business? If you are, I’d like to give you 4 tips that will help to start immediately growing your business.

I’m Jeremy Ashburn with PushLeads. I’ve been doing SEO for the past 15 years and had my own SEO Agency the past 5 years. I just helped a local plumbing company go from 30 calls per month to 120+ calls per month by doing these 4 tips.

These 4 tips are totally easy to implement, even if you’ve never done any type of web design or SEO before.

Let’s jump right in!

Tip #1 - Find Keywords

Place Keywords on your Homepage

The First thing that you want to do is find the best search phrases or keywords for your business. Google has a free tool called the Google Keyword Planner that helps you find the best keywords for your business. Go there, sign up, and start searching for keywords.

What you want to do in this first step is to pick out about 10-20 good keywords for the product or service that you’re offering. Try to pick keywords that describe exactly what your business does, the services you’re offering, or the products that you’re selling.

When signing up to use the Google Keyword Planner, you’ll be required to add your payment info. This won’t be an issue because you can pause your ads after the sign up and you won’t be charged.

Tip #2 - Place Keywords on Your Homepage

Now that you’ve found your 10-20 great keywords, next you want place them on the homepage of your website. In this step, you’ll be adding keywords here and there within headings and within the content, right on your hompage.  Doing this tells Google that you are interested in showing up for those searches in GOogle

I’ve found that the best way to do this is to copy your homepage content into a word document so you can more easily work on getting your keywords into the content. Edit the content so that you “sprinkle” keywords here and there within your site content.

Now, do youself a favor and hire a writer to proof what you’ve written. This will ensure that the content reads well for prospective visitors who are coming to your site.

When done, just email the document to your web designer and ask them to replace the homepage content with the article that you’ve written.

These Four Tips will Help You Grow Your Business with SEO

Tip #3 - Do Regular Blog Posts

Do Regular Blog Posts Will Help Your SEO

Since working with local businesses in Asheville and surrounding areas for the past three years, I’ve found that Google takes your business seriously if you publish Four Blog posts every month. Regular Blogging makes such a huge difference.

How do I know this?

A few years back, I was doing SEO for two different photographers. The first photographer published 5 and 7 blog posts every month while the second photographer published nothing.

Guess what happened? The photographer who published blog posts started getting 2, 4 and 8 new leads from Google every month. These leads turned into 2K, 5K, and 10K of new business. The second photographer who published nothing got nothing. No leads or action from Google.

This spoke to me about the importance of doing Regular Blog Posts as part of your SEO strategy. My current opinion is that Google decides that regular blogging is half of the SEO equation.

Tip #4 - Track Your Results

Lastly, you’ll need to track your results. There’s a great tool called Ranking Coach that will help you find out where your business shows up for local Searches in your city. The great thing about this tool is that for only $30 per month, it shows where you business is in Google for search phrases. You can also track your rankings in your local city, other nearby cities, and/or across the US.

As you do the previous steps, you’ll start seeing your business show up at the top of Google for searches. This will lead to bringing your business more traffic, more leads, and more business from Google.
