Hey guys, this is Jeremy Ashburn, and I just wanted to do a quick little Facebook Live and introduce myself in this little video here. So hopefully everything is now high def. I’m learning how to do this Facebook Live thing. I totally love it. You’re in the moment. It’s perfect. And hopefully I’m coming through loud and clear. So give me a heads up if you can hear me okay or not. anyways so what I wanted to do in this little video is just give an introduction as to Who I am and then explain some of my current clients so let’s get started I’m just going to share my screen because that’s what it’s all about right so what I want to do here is just jump into a quick little PowerPoint that I made and so what we’re gonna do here is just give you a quick little agenda i’m gonna explain who i am and then just go into some current clients so that’s me look at that handsome guy i mean come on i’m not conceited um you know i’m just messing around why not have fun right it’s a sunday night i’m doing this and uh let’s just enjoy it um so that’s me jeremy ashburn and what i did was i graduated with a ba in graphic design back in 2002 um and And then I worked for an ad agency after I graduated and realized, you know, it’s just not as fun working for an ad agency as school was.
5:00 From 5:00
I mean, I was one of those people that I did graduate with graphic design, but I took all these other degrees. Or excuse me, I took all these other classes that felt like degrees. I took them in printmaking and fabric and photography and just had so much fun doing it. finally realized okay let’s graduate work for an ad agency and discovered you know um doing stuff where print is really slow and later on you know print sort of going out of fashion um and so i um really left after about a year with the ad agency and for eight years i was an executive recruiter or sometimes people call it headhunters i was a headhunter with a local firm called Kimmel and Associates. It was a lot of fun in the years of Plenty. And really though, around 2005, this thing called WordPress came out and I decided to start making websites because it was now easy to make websites. I’m more artsy and more oriented that way. And I started realizing, hey, you know, you can make a website here, but if websites, if you have a beautiful website and which I figured out how to do relatively fast but if you have a website and it’s not at the top of Google then what’s the point so I really started doing these little experiments and was thinking hey how do I get a website to the top of Google and by 2007 I began to get there began to get websites to the top of Google began to get them on Google’s first page and really 2008 I was really shocked when I

I logged into one of the websites and it was making money when somebody would go from the website to Amazon and they would buy something on Amazon within 24 hours. We call that affiliate marketing or affiliate income. So I was generating affiliate income and I was surprised that this one website was generating $20,000 a month of sales, not for me, but for Amazon. And I was like, wow. I mean, I was making about $2,000 or $3,000 a month or so. I had advertisers approaching me saying, hey, you know, I want to put ads between your blog posts. And I was like, all day long, let’s do this thing. And so I really, you know, began to move towards wanting to do more in the online world and less just recruiting. recruiting and really by 2011, 2012, I was kind of done with the recruiting world. The Great Recession was happening. A lot of us remember the recession, 2009, 2010, 2011. They weren’t really fun years. So I left Kimmel and wished them well and created Pushleads in 2012. And really for the the first couple of years, I did a lot of online mentoring. I worked with different software. And then I kind of felt like that my job was to go back and learn my craft. Google dramatically changed in 2012. And I started thinking, you know, listen, I need to figure out how Google works
8:06 From 8:06
again and just go back to the basics, get out of affiliate marketing, get out of all of that, and just do online mentoring programs so I did that you know I just you know work for some online mentoring programs there for them for comfort 12 to 14 and then from 14 to present I really kind of realized how SEO worked and I started working with local companies and I started realizing hey you know my passion is to work with local companies I mean this is pretty exciting you know when you have a website and you’re working with a local company like one of of my clients is a plumber and we’re working with them for a couple of years. When you’re working with a company and you get them to the top of Google and, um, you know, they double their workforce, um, and they double the amount of trucks on the road and you see their trucks everywhere. It’s like, Hey, um, I’m, I’m part of making this company successful. And that was like, wow, I realized this is my passion to help companies grow. I mean, sure. There’s a lot lot of people that do what i do in the industry world there’s a lot of people that do seo that’s what it’s called and pay-per-click and they work with facebook advertising but if you are actually working with a small medium-sized company and you’re helping them grow or it’s your own company and you’re getting to the top of google and getting more searches and being found and you’re being more visible in google then you’re growing and that’s kind of where i when i came up where how i came up with that tagline be visible and grow if you’re visible in search engines you’re
9:38 From 9:38
you grow i figured this out so um getting back to um getting not not too excited there but i i’d usually do that i get excited um so um really the last four or five years i’ve been working doing seo for local companies and uh what i’ve been doing is um working with um service clients so plumbers and roofers and carpet cleaners um working with them primarily in the the Southeast, and then also working with e-commerce clients. So Shopify and WooCommerce, if you’ve heard of that, I’ve been working with artists, building websites for them, getting them to the top of Google. The working with solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, people who are in startup mode, building websites for them, doing SEO and doing coaching for them. And then of course, startups, people that are just starting out, they necessarily can’t afford you know thousands of dollars a month or even hundreds of dollars a month um but they were like they want to know how do i how am i successful so teaching them so that’s kind of a quick little introduction to who i am and how things kind of work and um i just wanted to um put that out there for anyone um so they can know you know who i am and if you have have any questions what you can do is just leave a comment right under the video thanks Julie for being here and watching this video and anyone else who is watching this video live or just
11:14 From 11:14
wants to learn more and has questions just leave a comment you know in this video is going directly on to this community I’m creating called the push leads Academy and the point of this community is to help people be more successful. Everyone who’s been added into this group is added into this group for free. I just want to build up this community of people that would want to help each other out and help each other grow. A lot of the people I’m working with are artists and a lot of them are solopreneurs. A lot of them have local businesses. Hey, Pam, thanks for being here. How um so um thanks again for being here and uh the kids are here the dog’s barking so i better end this little live session because they’re going to burst into the room here that’s part of being facebook live right dogs barking you know it’s real you know it’s happening thanks for wishing me happy birthday um and uh and i’ll dip i’ll be doing more videos um this upcoming week i’m still still kind of creating my whole plan of how to make things. Um, but when I have that going, um, then, uh, say hello to Jesse. He’s right there. Um, when I have that going, I’ll give you a quick heads up. All right. Thanks a lot for everything. And, uh, we’ll talk to you, talk to you guys soon.
