0:00 SEO Silos and Blog Posts on Wix Overview
Hey, how’s it going? I’m Jeremy Ashurn with Push Leads and I help clients, my clients get more leads without struggle or frustration. And in this video, what we’re going to do is publish silos for one of my clients, Charlotte Lux. So, these guys are a party bus in the Charlotte area. And they have a variety of party buses from some large ones, large SUVs to Sprinter vans to, etc. [snorts] And um you can see here they have limousines, they have party buses, they have um party bus, 14 passenger. The biggest party bus they have is even like a 28 to 30 passenger party bus. And you know, this is a a good this is a great company. And what we’re going to do is just we’re helping them grow by publishing inner hidden pages that aren’t on the menu that [snorts] talk about what they do. And so what we’re going to do in this video is show you how to publish pages and also blogs on Wix for them. So what I want to first do

1:00 Navigating Wix Blog Dashboard
is start with a blog. So if you notice here, we have one blog um and we have more blogs that are written. And so we’re going to start with a blog and publish a blog. And then from there, we’re going to publish um a pillar page um or a whole silo, which I’ll explain what that is. All right. All right. So, the first thing we’re going to do here is go into the back end of Wix and um we’re going to go to logging into Wix. Um and what we’re going to do is when you log into Wix and don’t click on edit site, just log in and we’re going to click on blog. And this is going to show all of our current blogs that we have, which is really just one blog at the post at this point here. Next thing we’re going to do here is go to um the folder we’ve written some more blogs. Um, and so I’m going to go into my clients folder. Uh, navigating over to Charlotte Lux05 Charlotte Lux and I’m going into I’m going into blog. And in here will be the blog f the blog files. Here we go. And if you notice here, how much does a party bus uh cost in Charlotte is the first blog we did. And I can open the blog and see here that it’s the entire blog here. So blog 01 has been published. And I can see here that how much does a party bus cost in Charlotte is the name of the blog. And of course that’s the blog we published. So what we’re going to do here is publish um u blog 02.

2:30 Publishing a Blog Post Step by Step
Okay. And so we’re going to click I’m going to right click and hit open with Google Docs. And what we’re going to do here is just copy all this content. and go ahead and publish this as a blog post. So, what we’re going to do is go to the blog page, create a new blog post, and we’re going to go ahead and hit uh and and as you do this, make sure that you know the blog hasn’t been obviously previously published, right? Um so, different people are working on the site, but make sure that O blog, this the one you’re working on hasn’t already been published in the post. Um all right, so here’s our second blog. We’re going to copy all this and we’re going to go to post and we’re going to paste the content. All right. And then what we’re going to do is move the title up to the title field. And then this metad description, meta keywords, target URL. This tells us kind of what the blog is supposed to look like. Um, you know, the metad description and also the target URL. So, we’re going to get the metad description and we’re going to go here under settings co settings and then their basics and we’re going to paste the metad description here. And then also under settings, we’re going to paste uh the excerpt here. And then under featured image, we’re going to click here and we’re going to grab an image from the library. It could just be one of their images of a party bus and it could be like an inside shot or one of these shots here. So, I’m going to grab this one, and I’m going to hit add to page. So, we have a featured image. I’m also going to change the the author to Trevor Smisc, which is that’s the owner of the company. And the next thing I’m going to do is go back into the blog and remove this extra content. So, the article starts with key takeaways, which are what we need obviously for to show up for AI. So, I’m just scrolling down here to make sure that there is space between content. Um, a little bit of space between these sections in here. And I’m getting rid of any extra spaces as well. There we go. Looks pretty good there. Frequently asked questions planning. And then we’re going to get rid of this internal link suggestions. It is telling us where we could link in the future. Um, we’re not worried about that right now. Um, okay. So, we have done everything here and let me back up. Um, sometimes here it will give us suggestions on where we

5:00 Adding Internal Links to Blog Content
can link. You know, if it’s a future post, it means that the hasn’t been done here. But you can link wedding transportation to this page here or if that exists, right? But we can link party bus to this page here. So, we’ll do that right now. We’ll link party bus two services to this URL here. So, I’m just going to search in the content for party bus. And these are all party bus searches. Um and and then it’s telling me where to link them to. So, I’ll grab this. And I’m just going to link a couple of these these um these links here. So, party buses is fine. I’m going to insert link link to paste in here. And and we could do page. I can just do web address. And I need to I’m copying the whole web address, but I need to have the front of the URL here. So, Charlotte Lux. I’m going to grab that. We go. Paste. Get rid of the extra slash there. And save. So, we’ve just added one link there. And I can I can edit this link here. by hitting settings, copy this link, and then I can go down and add another link to, you know, one more. You we want to have about three to six link in the content here. So, I’m going to insert link here. And then let’s look at the internal link suggestions. We can link here the contact Charlotte Lux to the quote page. So we can do here and then link oops link button and then this case it’s a page. So I can do a search for quote a quote page. There we go. So I can insert links that way as well. And then we also want to link one of the pages that are ranking in Google. So if I look in Semrush to see what is going on with the client, I can see here

7:00 What Is an SEO Silo
that their visibility has gone from one to like 8% in the last 30 days or so. I can also see what pages are ranking here. 28 passenger party bus. So it look like it’s mostly just the homepage or this inner page concert bus. Um it does look like here we have 18 passenger mini party bus. Um, so, um, so I can I can get this 18 plus. I can get this page here. And all I do is basically link two or three of the ranking pages in the article. So, here’s one here. This fleet 28 P and 28 mini party bus 28 passenger. And I’m going to link here. And I’m going to put party bus. I’m going to link to that page here. Web address. Paste. going to do a couple links there. It’s super important we do internal links. Um, and I’m going to do party bus here. So, we want at least at least four to 10 internal links. Okay. And then looking back at looking back here um at ranking pages, it’s going to find one more link ranking page. Here’s a 24 passenger ranking page. So, I can get that and I’ll link that one. Party buses. We go. Insert link. Do it right. Insert And there we go. So, I’ve just added about and these links have to all be added manually, but I’ve added links to pages on the site as well. Now the other thing you can do is just go to the site itself and under services and look for fleet um services and we have party bus rentals. So we also have a party bus rentals page and we want to rank we want to link to that page as well. So also link to pages in the menu that make sense. So we’ll go here and we’ll put one we’ll put we’ll put one link here potty buses in North Carolina to that page. remember a AIS and Google look really closely at um the these internal links and we need to have them in the article um or we shouldn’t be even doing blogs. So, all right. So, at this point, we’re done. Um I’ve got I’ve added like about 10 internal links. I’ve got an image here. The only thing that’s missing is I could add an alt text to the image. And so, I can put that right here. the alt text under SEO. I have the description into here under basics here. And now I can go in and hit publish. So we have now published um the second blog. And this client really needs um at least one blog a week, if not two to three blogs a week. So we’ll have to do this manually. But go ahead and u publish blog 03 just so I know what you’re doing. You know how to do that and go ahead and publish that. Okay. So that’s that that part is done. The next thing we’re going to do is go in and publish um a pillar page. And what I’m going to do here is refer back to the training here that I’ve done in the past. So, if you’re one of my VAS, you already have access to this folder. And under this um training here under operations, we have um explanations of all the training. So, you already know how to do all this stuff. So, this is really just the benefit for people who don’t know what this is. And and just as a recap, you already have

10:40 Opening the Client Silo Document
this training, but basically an SEO silo is what we’re going to be doing next. And what a silo is is a SEO is a site architecture where the website essentially has website organization is the website is organized into groups of content into categories or silos. And each silo is has a pillar page and cluster pages. And publishing content in the structure helps search engines understand the relevance of content and helps us show up higher in Google. And so think of this as sort of like a guide page along with guide other guides that connect to the main guide page. And [snorts] so we have found that doing this really helps SEO dramatically. So, so this is the diagram of a website with five silos and each silo has a pillar page and four cluster pages and these would be all different topics. So, what we’re going to do is publish one about um party buses in Charlotte and that’ll be here and then you’ll publish other ones around other content here and they all kind of will be published in Wix and connect to each other. But the important thing is that they’re on the website. And the and and the thing about this is is when we create silos, studies have found that SEO silos generate a 40% increase in SEO visibility and 30% increase in traffic in 6 months. And I’ve actually seen higher results from that. So what we’re going to do is open up the silo that we’ve already created for for this client. And we’re going to go into Charlotte Lux and silos. And the very first silo is um this one, this 01 Charlotte bus party occasions. So occasionally you’ll see 00 which is sort of like the sort of the data behind the silo and then this 01 is a silo. So our job right now is to publish this first silo and we’re going to publish a pillar page and one cluster page in this uh video and then your job will be to publish the rest of the cluster pages here and then also publish the the two silo. So, we’re going to go ahead and open up this 01. Here we go. Close all these other documents. And here’s our content. So, this is um in this case, it’s one document with all of the content. Um and other cases, the content is separated. And you have the pillar page as one document and then the cluster pages as other pages or individual pages. All right. So, we’re going to go down here and we’re going to go ahead and grab all of this content from the title all the way down to the end of the first article. Okay. All right. So, we’re going to grab all that and then we’re going to go into Wix and we’re going to click on home and

13:20 Duplicating a Page in Wix Editor
we’re going to click on edit site to go into the site editor which opens up this window. And the way Wix is set up is that you have a menu here and and then in the menu you have items that are showing up in the menu that are visible that are bolded. Then you have other items that are not visible that are hidden pages that are kind of grayed out here. So if I click on this button here and I click on show in menu, that will make it visible in the menu. And if Iclick it, it will not show in the menu. So it’s super important that we these pages don’t show in the menu. um you know so so okay all right so what we’re going to do here is um make a new page and let me go here and our easiest way to do this is just to duplicate an existing page so we can go here to this page and I can see here that they have um different pages here that I already created. So, we can just take one of these pages here that are already created and we can duplicate it. We’re going click this button here and hit duplicate. And we’re just going to hit duplicate page. We don’t want to make this um dynamic. So, duplicate page. And then it will say copy of party bus rentals. And let’s see. It’s giving me a random popup here. Okay. X. All right. And then next we’re going to do here is uh we’re going to move this page move this page down. We can move it down just by dragging down. And we want to just move it all the way down out of these menu pages just sort of in it to its own space. Um because [clears throat] it’s not really going to even be in the menu. So it’s go down here [snorts] and we’ll just put it all the way down at the bottom. Okay. And the next thing we’re going to do here is click on settings and we’re going to go ahead and change the name of the page. So here’s the name of our our content is in here. So we’re going to cop copy our content first

15:30 Pasting and Formatting Pillar Page Content
to the page. So we go here and the content can literally be like down here. Okay. So what I’ve just done is sort of made a designed um page here. So, I left the header and then I’m going to go ahead and put our our article here. And then you can just use this as a page to to duplicate. Um, so I’m going to grab the content here and I go ahead and put this on the page. I’m going to highlight and paste and I’m going to get rid of the meta description. Let’s see. Here we go. And looks like this text here is white for some reason. So, we’ll change this to black. Here we go. All right. So, there’s our whole article. And the only thing that is kind of clunky in here is some spaces. We need some spaces between the content here. So, we can go just add some spaces in here because someone real might read this. We’re just going to create some space there. And if it’s saying internal link, we’re going to we can add internal link there. So, see our complete options. We’ll come back and add links in a second, but I’m just going to do spaces for starters. And actually, I think I think we don’t need we just need spaces probably between the contents. Let me try to do this. Yeah, we just need a space between the top and the bottom, but not the actual content part here. So here we go. We’re just going to create a space between these and I’m down to the FAQ section. So some of these sections are just have really large sort of font sizes. So, I can change this to paragraph two and a section here where it’s like you have if you have too many large sections here. Honestly, FAQs don’t can just be bolded, but we don’t need we don’t need to make them as capitalized um or as uh large headings. So, I’m just going through and just bolding these sections so they look they look and feel different and just bolding these sections like that. some space here. I also don’t like the word summary. No one says summary at the end of an article. So, usually just put um yeah, request your free quote today. Something like that. Um and then at this point, you can start adding links. So, it does tell us where to add the links in the article. And I’m going to go down here where it says internal link see our complete fleet options. So in this case link to the fleet backslash page. So I can go here

18:30 Adding Internal Links to Pillar Page
and I can do fleet options and I can click on this and I can click on text settings. Let’s see fleet options. I think what I’m going to first do is hit save. So we save this page. And then now I’m going to do fleet options. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to click on the link button to make a link. And I can just do a search for fleet. There we go. Boom. So, we just did that. Options. We go. Fix that. And we want we want basically I would say five to 10 links or so per page. Look like we have extra space here. So, um, party bus demand. Anything with party bus can link to the party bus page which we have open right here. So we can go there and party bus demand going to add a link here to the party bus page. I’m going to do backs back up again. Start this again. Party bus demand. It’s a little clunky, but I’m going to click on this. It’s going to be a web address. Paste. Done. And then I just link to, since this is party bus, I can just keep linking to the same page. Party bus. Party buses. They can be six or 10 links to the same page. They can be separate pages. Um, it doesn’t it’s really just it’s it helps with variety. Request party bus. Here we go. web address. Paste. Done. And then um I can also link to maybe somewhere else here. Um it see how it tells us the end of sections to link to. So you can follow the instructions here. So I’m just going to scroll down the article and see where it’s asking internal link here. Um it’ll be a little note where it says link. It says read our complete party bus guide here. So we can link to this page here. enter down. And here’s our page here. And it helps to when it has a link here, it helps to just double check to make sure it’s an actual real page. So that’s a real page right there. So we’re going to Usually it is unless it says future page or future post. Um, so we can link to this page where it’s telling us to link to and that helps too. So nice when an AI can tell us what to do. We follow instructions and they’re going to delete this text here. I’m just scrolling down to see where it’s asking internal links. Here is it looks like it’s Here we go. Wedding wedding and transportation. So I can I can also try it like this where I can do wedding transportation. I can do link and I can do a search for wedding transportation. Ah, it didn’t work. But so we’ll just do the link manually. I’m going to grab this link here. I’m going to paste it in here. So, we have the actual link there. Okay. And then wedding transportation web address. Paste. Going to get rid of the link there. And then this one is our internal prom party bus. So, prom party bus page. Going to grab this page here. match our URL so I can get the whole URL. There we go. And prom party bus state prom party bus. We’ll put it on that link web address. Paste. Here we go. And on and on. So you can just do the whole thing here. So I’m going to go and pause it and finish this. And it’s super important that when we’re editing the text that we move any of the um instructions on where to link to. I mean that goes without saying. may have already said that before, but yeah. Okay. So, I’ve just taken about five minutes finishing this up and um I’m going to get rid of anything in here that we don’t need there. And go period. And now we can And then now before we publish, we’re going to hit save again. And we’re going to double

23:00 Setting Permalink Title Tag and Meta Description
check to see the URL here um of of this page. So, it recommends a URL, a permal link here at the very top of the article. And it’s saying here the the permal link if it’s if it’s there, you can you can go for it and or if you don’t see a suggestion, you can just at the title and pick the main keywords of the title. So, let’s just do it that way because I don’t see the suggestion here. But, I’m going to go to u the settings of the page here. We’re going to open up the pages menu here to open up the pages. And this is the page we’re on. We’re going to hit rename. And we’ll just name it as the title of the actual page, the ultimate guide. And I’m going to click on settings here. And it’s the ultimate guide to renting a party bus. I can just shorten this because it looks like we’re I’ll just say ultimate guide to renting party bus. And then under SEO basics, we’re going to make sure we have this as the permal link. The ultimate guide. The ultimate guide. So, I’m just going to shorten this to the main keywords. Ultimate guide. Rent party bus Charlotte celebration. So, you notice how I just kept the main kind of keywords there. And you have to have a dash between each one. And then then we want to have a shortened title here. We can go here and grab the title here. Copy this. And this is going to be the title tag here. Paste. It’s okay that it’s a long title. U we want a title and then Charlotte Luck at the end. And then this is our metad descriptions which comes from the article. So [snorts] make sure we have that in there as a meta description. There we go. And then at this point we’re done. We have the title. We have images on the page. We don’t need to add images. It looks like we’re good to go. So we hit publish. So I just on a pillar page and what

25:00 Publishing Pillar Page and Next Steps
you’re going to do is work on cluster page. I’m going to click on edit mobile site but make sure the mobile site looks okay. It’s honestly just a whole bunch of text so it’s okay as long as the text is all readable by an AI. It’s not for human but just to read it that looks fine. Okay. So I have just done a pillar page. if you can do the same thing and work on the first cluster page. So, what you’re going to do is log into the site. You’re going to click here, go to the scroll. You’re going to click on the this to open up the pages in the menu. You’re going to click on here to very bottom. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the pages, not in the menu. And I forgot to turn this page off of you. So, I’m going to hit hide in menu. There we go. And you’re going to go to this page and you’re going to click on this and hit duplicate. and you’re going to work on the next page in here. Um, so I’m opening up the silo and the next page publish is this bachelor party bus rental Charlotte page. It’s not going to be as long as the first guide and we’ll add it will tell you what to add internal links and you’re going to duplicate this page and then follow all the instructions. So let me know when you’re done. I’m going to hit publish. So that’s live. We get credit for this page. The client gets credit for this page. All right. Thanks so much.
