Combining Claude and Writesonic for High-Quality SEO Content Creation
In today’s fast-moving content marketing world, AI tools have become indispensable. But not all tools are equal—and not all workflows are created with real-world SEO impact in mind. In this guide, I’ll walk you through my process of combining Claude and Writesonic to manually create high-performing, brand-aligned content for clients—specifically showcasing an example with one of my national franchise clients, WagBar. By leveraging these AI tools, I’ve been able to develop tailored content strategies that not only resonate with the target audience but also implement quality offsite SEO strategies for success. This approach ensures that each piece of content effectively drives traffic and builds brand authority. Join me as we explore how this combination can redefine content effectiveness in the digital landscape.
Understanding the Tools
Claude (by Anthropic) is designed for high-level enterprise writing. It produces rich, nuanced, and brand-specific content—far beyond what most generic AI tools, including ChatGPT, tend to generate. It understands tone, structure, and context exceptionally well when properly trained with brand data and content guidelines.
Writesonic, on the other hand, functions as an AI-powered SEO agent. It performs website audits, identifies opportunities, and recommends silo structures—the thematic clusters of content that build topical authority for SEO.
By integrating both, you can streamline strategy and execution:
- Writesonic identifies content opportunities.
- Claude writes optimized, human-level copy that fits your client’s voice.
The Project Example: WagBar
WagBar is a national franchise business specializing in dog-friendly social venues. My goal was to push their site to the top of Google for highly competitive nationwide keywords by building an intelligent content silo system.
Inside the WagBar Claude project, I’ve uploaded:
- All website files
- Detailed writing guidelines for tone and natural language
- The brand’s personality documentation
This ensures that every piece of content Claude produces aligns perfectly with WagBar’s brand voice and structure.
Step 1: Using Writesonic for SEO Audits and Silo Ideas
First, I use Writesonic to scan the website and map existing silos—branded content, franchise resources, location pages, and blogs. It then recommends new silo ideas, such as:
- Dog Bar Directory Silo
- Dog-Friendly Social Venue Silo
- Franchise Investment Guide Silo
These recommendations help identify where the site can expand its topical authority. For example, WagBar didn’t have a dedicated “Dog Bar Directory” section—so we created it.
Step 2: Creating a Pillar Page in Claude
Once the silo topic is selected, I use Claude to structure the pillar page. The first step is outlining the structure:
- Introduction to the topic
- Subtopics and sections (e.g., benefits, locations, regional guides)
- Internal linking suggestions
Claude builds this blueprint intelligently, suggesting internal links to relevant pages, meta descriptions, and even the appropriate heading hierarchy.
After finalizing the outline, I prompt Claude to write the full pillar page, using instructions like:
“Use the client’s brand tone, add internal links to relevant content, target 5–10 related keywords, and include semantic internal links.”
The result? A 5,000–10,000-word, fully optimized, human-quality article that performs exceptionally well in search engines.
Step 3: Publishing and Manual SEO Signal
Even though my automation platform, Incredible Roots, can generate and publish pillar and cluster pages automatically, this client’s site runs on Squarespace, not WordPress. That means the content is uploaded manually.
And that’s actually an advantage—manual publishing sends Google stronger human-authorship signals. Over a decade ago, I used automated link-building tools like SENukeX to rank sites, but once Google introduced the Panda and Penguin updates, those tactics died out. Now, manual curation and authenticity outperform automation.
Step 4: Quality Over Quantity
While Claude consumes more tokens and takes longer to process, the quality difference is night and day. It generates deep, brand-specific content that clients consistently approve without revision.
In contrast, when I once tested ChatGPT for large-scale content generation, it simply reworded articles—changing adjectives without creating original value. Claude, however, produces unique, thought-leading material that matches the client’s natural writing style.
Step 5: Scaling the System
My virtual assistants (VAs) now use this system daily. For each client:
- Writesonic identifies SEO silos and opportunities.
- Claude writes long-form, structured content within the client’s tone and SEO parameters.
- Manual or automated publishing ensures Google recognizes authentic engagement.
Even a single Claude-generated piece can rank for dozens of keywords and establish strong topical authority across an entire niche.
Final Thoughts
If you’re a content strategist, SEO, or VA looking to create genuinely powerful long-form articles, this hybrid approach delivers both scalability and authenticity. Use Writesonic to guide your strategy, and let Claude handle the creative heavy lifting.
