0:00 Cross-Platform Reporting Problem Explained
Hey, I’m Jeremy with PushLeads, helping small businesses getting more leads without struggle and frustration. And today, we’re talking about cross-platform reports. One of the things that one of my clients requested, and now we’re doing it for most of our clients. The whole idea is that you have one report that tells you everything from Google Ads to SEO to CallRail to, you know, anything that the client wants to track. If it has an API, we connect it to our system. And this system that we’ve created is called Push Rank. So let’s get into it here.
0:31 Why Most Agencies Report Per Platform
So the reporting problem that no one really talks about here is that most agencies build their entire process around one CMS. The plugin stack, the publishing flow, the analytics, it’s all kind of around one site, right, or one stack. And so like if you have a Shopify, different definitions of a page, things like that. If you have a Shopify store, it’s gonna have different exports, different definitions of a page. If you’ve got a client on Webflow, there’s really no shared tooling, there’s no compatible workflow. And then, and then what if you have a client on a custom platform? It’s never been documented, never integrated. And so there’s three separate exports, three definitions of a page, and you have an analyst who’s trying to stitch everything together for spreadsheets and documentation for reports. And so Push Rank was built to make all of that disappear.
This is part of our SEO client dashboards guide.
1:22 PushRank Architecture Database First
The core idea is that publishing is a plugin, reporting is not, right? So Push Rank keeps the strategy, the content, and all the performance data all in one unified database, and that’s the single source of truth that doesn’t care what content eventually ends. The CMS connection is the last step, not the foundation. And so it’s the same pipeline for every client, a Shopify client. They all run through these identical stages. Indexing logic, internal linking, and it’s all done automatically. As well as, of course, publishing ongoing content and blogs. And, and there’s only one final publish call that differs, and that is whether it’s the WordPress API, the Webflow, the Webflow CMS, or if we have to build our own connection. So we’ve built our own browser that can log into a site and navigate around and do the work as well. Because you have some clients where basically you have some situations that are completely custom, and so we built our own custom headless Chromium browser that handles that. ‘Cause why? ‘Cause we built it, right? So we can do anything. And so I run an agency with forty-plus clients, and this is not pie in the sky. This is actually in production.
2:32 What a Cross-Platform Report Contains
So this isn’t like roadmap. In the last ninety days, we’ve published eighteen hundred pieces of content across five platforms simultaneously, and every piece of that content is being tracked. Um, published sixteen… seventy-seven Shopify articles, six platform types including WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Drive, Turbify, and of course, custom sites. And, and when you think about it, a Shopify blog post and WordPress silo page are really the same kind of row in the database. It’s the same… They’re essentially going after keywords, the same ranking history, right? So there’s no reconciliation even required. And so let’s look at what a cross-platform report actually contains. What we do is we generate month of reports automatically every month, but a lot of marketing managers I work with want a weekly report. And so this is, so this is automatically done at six AM every Friday. No custom templates. We have all the data, so we collate the data into one assembly. And so you have one consistent structure across all the platforms. We’re tracking keyword performance, keywords going up and down, search console clicks, and impressions are pulled directly from the client’s own property. No interpolation, no estimates.
3:44 Activity vs Outcomes the Key Distinction
We’re tracking all the content, but essentially everything published in the last thirty days plus index, plus indexation status. How much of it that was published is Google actually seeing? And then also we’re measuring everything. What kind of content is winning? So specific URL… So we’re… Was built for, and that keyword’s actual movement in Search Console. And that’s the difference between a report and an invoice justification. And of course, activity versus outcomes, that’s a critical distinction, right? So most SEO reports show reports published, keywords targeted, hours spent. These numbers tell a client what the agency actually did, not what it earned. Whereas Push Rank reports show each published URL tied back to the keyword it was built for, and then that keyword’s actual ranking movement. So that’s the difference between a report and an invoice justification. And why should you care about platform agnostic reporting?
4:37 Platform Limitations Shopify Squarespace Wix
Well, you have honest client comparisons. When all these client numbers come in on the same data, Shopify store’s performance is directly comparable to WordPress compared to any other platform. So underperformance shows up as a real signal, not hand-waved at a different platform. Migrations don’t erase history, so from Webflow to WordPress keeps their full ranking history, client content history, and performance trend intact. And the performance trend is intact. The CMS has changed, but the record hasn’t. And then onboarding isn’t a project connecting to a new platform. So connecting to a new platform is just essentially a credentials pass. Site identifier, collection ID, it’s all done. The reporting layer requires zero changes because it was never platform aware. And you have no manual assembly. The reports generate on a schedule, populate from live data, and a queue for review, and they’re queued for review before they go out. So the human step is for approval and commentary, the judgment part. And of course, there’s honest limitations. Platform agnostic doesn’t mean platform identical. Pretending otherwise is how agencies end up compromising. So Push Rank is transparent about what each platform can and can’t do, and the reporting reflects that. So Shopify, there’s obviously no API for creating static pages, only blog articles. So Shopify clients get blog content for keyword targeting, but not the full topical siloed architecture that WordPress provides. Squarespace has no blog creation at API at all. So we can’t do automated publishing on Squarespace, so finished format is delivered for manual upload in those situations. And then Wix has an API, but it’s proprietary, and that’s really not worth the integration cost yet, so we do manual delivery for that as well. If we can’t publish this automatically or through an approval gate, we deliver the finished formatted content for manual upload.
6:28 Architecture Inversion CMS as Output
And let’s dig into the architecture inversion here. So the reason why most agencies report per platform is that their tooling was built on that platform. The CMS became their system of record by accident, and everything downstream just inherited those constraints, including the reporting. Push Rank inverts that. The database is the system of records. The CMS is the output. One client on Shopify, one on Webflow, 32 on WordPress. They’re all rolling up into a consistent view of what’s actually working, computed the right way. And this is what happens… And the result is what happens when you stop letting the publishing target dictate the architecture. So in the end, it’s one report, every client, every platform. Push Rank is Push Lead’s autonomous SEO platform. We do the keyword tracking, the content strategy and generation and publishing across WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and also custom platforms. It’s unified reporting with the same schedule, regardless of the CMS, and it’s any platform: WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or, or even Turbify or custom results. Zero reconciliation, zero spreadsheet stitching, no end of the month scramble. So if you wanna see Push Rank in action, request a demo, and we’ll give you a live cross-platform report directly with your own client’s mix. And of course, I shouldn’t just keep teasing this.
7:47 Live Report Walkthrough Voice Jungle
Let’s look at a cross-platform report. So here’s one that we did for a voiceover company called Voice Jungle. We’ve been working with them. And we can see an executive summary of everything. In this case, we’re tracking Google Ads and SEO. Other reports that have CallRail, we have that integrated in, so we can see their organic search is growing steadily, their organic clicks are heavily branded. Paid search is active, but sort of the ROIs are negative. We’re spending around $PushLeads,400 on Google Ads, not getting a lot of conversions there, and we do have a growing footprint there. So channel scorecard, we can see organic search, et cetera. And here’s one for a client where we are tracking CallRail. It’s a… This is a restoration client in Arkansas. And so we can see an executive summary, the search performance, the traffic and conversions, the rankings, what the data is saying, and recommended steps, et cetera. So all of that is available through our system. So let me know if you have any questions. I’m Jeremy Ashburn with PushLeads. Talk to you soon
