Hey, it’s Jeremy Ashburn with Pushleads and I wanted to reconnect with you on LinkedIn. I haven’t posted here in a couple of months because I’ve been super busy trying to understand what’s happening in the SEO world with AI and all the changes that have been going on.

If you’re a business owner, you may have occasionally used ChatGPT, especially if you’re younger, in your 20s or 30s. If you’re Gen X or a boomer, you may or may not have tried it. But usage of ChatGPT and other AIs like Perplexity has been exploding since April and May of this year. Studies show that people using AI to find and recommend products are seven to eight times more likely to convert compared to those who only search on Google—the traditional SEO channel.

seo tips for vacation rental listings

The purpose of this video is to share what I’ve been working on over the last three months. My focus has been figuring out how to make content that ranks both in Google search and in AI search results. What I’ve found is that publishing “inner” hidden pages around specific topics, along with building high-quality connections from other websites, is the key.

As an example, I’ve been working with a client in Las Vegas that manages Airbnbs under the brand Buddha Estates. They also offer Airbnb management services. These properties are beautiful, with pools and amenities, but competing for Airbnb-related searches in Vegas is incredibly competitive. I’ve been doing SEO for 15 years, but national-level SEO is a tough challenge, so I’ve been refining strategies. To stand out in this saturated market, I’ve focused on developing targeted SEO strategies for brand growth that highlight the unique features of Buddha Estates. By optimizing their online presence and leveraging local SEO techniques, we aim to capture more traffic and increase visibility among potential guests. These efforts not only enhance brand recognition but also drive bookings, ultimately contributing to the client’s success in the competitive Airbnb landscape.

Websites are evolving. They used to just be “human pages”—pages designed for people to navigate, read, and browse. Now, you also need “AI pages.” Human pages are visible to users and carry design, photos, and functionality. AI pages are content-heavy pages, not really meant for human reading but designed so AIs can crawl and understand them.

For my clients, I use sitemaps in the footer to organize these pages. We build pillar pages, like one on seasonal Vegas vacation rentals, then link out to inner topic pages such as Christmas vacation rentals. These inner pages link back to the main page multiple times, signaling to Google that this content is important. By publishing these hidden, content-rich inner pages, results have improved significantly.

Looking at SEMrush data for this client, their visibility score went from 0.2% to 0.74% in 30 days. That may sound small, but in a highly competitive market like Vegas, it’s meaningful. Keywords like “Vacation Rental Las Vegas Private Pool” moved from page two to page one, and “Airbnbs Las Vegas” now consistently ranks at the bottom of page one. These shifts prove the strategy is working. Additionally, the increase in keyword rankings has also started to attract more organic traffic to the client’s website, leading to higher engagement rates and inquiries. This uptick in visibility not only showcases the effectiveness of the SEO tactics employed but also positions the brand as a credible source, particularly in areas related to disaster restoration techniques overview. As a result, the client can leverage this newfound authority to expand its service offerings and further enhance its market presence in Las Vegas.

Getting High Quality Backlinks

But publishing pages isn’t enough—you also need high-quality backlinks. A lot of scammy SEO companies cut corners here. They may create some pages but fail to deliver quality connections. We focus on building four to eight strong backlinks per month, each from domains with authority scores ranging from 20 to 50. These connections increase reputation and visibility over time.

It’s like gardening. I water my backyard garden every morning and evening. SEO is the same—it requires consistent care and attention. Publishing content, building connections, and refining strategies are the “watering” that produces growth. Just as a garden flourishes with the right nutrients and sun exposure, effective SEO practices like plumber HVAC SEO strategies can lead to a vibrant online presence. Neglecting these techniques can stunt growth, similar to how a garden might wither without proper care. It’s important to continuously assess and adapt your approach to ensure your efforts yield the best possible results.

We’re already seeing exciting progress for this client, and it will only compound with time.
